FMHIE_HIEID_MAINT - Process Hierarchy ID

Purpose

The hierarchy ID defines a complete hierarchy of nodes. If you use account assignment elements with the hierarchical role "constant", you must assign each hierarchy ID to one of these constant FM account assignment (FMAA) elements.

Note: If there is no FMAA element with the hierarchical role "constant" for your specified FM area and budget structure, you cannot maintain hierarchy IDs for the specified FM area and budget structure.

Integration

Prerequisites

• You have created a hierarchical budget structure in the IMG activity Create Budget Structure.

• You have assigned the roles within the hierarchical budget structure of each active FMAA elements. The roles are assigned per FM area and hierarchical budget structure in the IMG activity Define Hierarchy Settings for FM Account Assignment Elements.

Note
Assigning the FMAA element sorting sequence on the second level is used for the customizing of hierarchy node sorting when you display the generated hierarchy. This sorting sequence is also the display order of the FMAA elements.

Features

You can use this program to create new hierarchy IDs and to display, change, or delete existing ones.

Selection

Enter the following:

• FM area and a hierarchical budget structure to work with

• Fiscal year

• Budget category.

• If you are changing or displaying an existing hierarchy ID, enter the desired hierarchy ID in the corresponding field, or press the F4 help button to perform a search for existing hierarchy IDs. Then click Change or Display.

• If you are creating a new hierarchy ID, enter a new name for the hierarchy ID. Then click Create.

Standard Variants

Output

• When changing a hierarchy ID, you can change the hierarchy ID text and the assignment of Constant Budget Address Elements.

• When creating a new hierarchy ID, in the next screen Create and Assign Hierarchy ID, enter a text for the hierarchy ID, and then assign Constant Budget Address Elements for the hierarchy ID.
