FP_PDF_TEST_01 - Test Program: Create PDF and Print Output File

Purpose
Generates forms and print data with a local form layout (an XDP file) and data (an XML file) to test, for example, job profiles, print data, local schemas, or properties of the PDF in question.
Prerequisites
Adobe Document Services (ADS)
Selection
Connection
An ADS connection must be selected for the generation. The default is 'ADS', which is also the default
used in the SAP programs. If a different connection is selected using F4, it must be confirmed using
Enter. Depending on the ADS version used, the selection screen changes, since not every ADS version supports all functions. For example, PDF/A-1 is available only from ADS version 820. 20080812034112.
Data file (XFD data)
Defines the data file (runtime data) used when the PDF is generated. This data
file must be an XML file and following the W3C XML Recommendation (ISO/IEC 10646). The path to the data
file can be entered manually in the 'Data File (XFD Data)' field or the file can be found by searching on the local PC (using F4).
Note: A PDF with additional information can be created by selecting 'Very detailed trace' in the settings in transaction SFP. The generated PDF contains the XFD file in an attachment.
Form Layout (XDP File)
Defines the file with the form layout used when the PDF is generated. The
form layout must be in XDP (created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer). The path to the form layout file can
be entered manually in the 'Form Layout (XDP Data)' field or the file can be found by searching on the local PC (using F4).
Job Profile
Defines the job profile used to generate the document. The available job profiles can
be displayed and selected using F4 help. Job profiles are used to modify the way Adobe Document Services work.

PDF screen output only
Creates a PDF and displays it in the PDF preview.
Create print file
Shows additional input fields for defining the output characteristics.
Output File
Defines the file for the print output. The default is 'C:\tmp\PDLOut'. The path
to the output file can be entered manually in the 'Output File' field and the file can be found in the system using F4 help.
Output Format
Defines the output format for the output file. The default is the PCL format. The following output formats can be chosen using the F4 help:
PCL,,PCL format
PS,,Postscript format
ZPL,,Zebra Print format
DPL,,DPL print format
IPL,,IPL print format
TPCL,,TPCL print format

XDC File Name
Defines the XDC file used to generate the print output. It contains printer descriptions in XML format that are required for printing SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe.
If this field is empty, the chosen output format is used to assign an XDC file automatically.
If you want to use a specific XDC file, it can be selected using F4 help.

Locale
Sets the locale (a combination of language and country, such as en_US or de_DE) used to handle the PDF document. If not specified, the locale defined as a default language in the form layout is used.
Properties of Created PDF
PDF Standard
The PDF standard is used to define the PDF format. Valid values can be selected using F4 help:
Portable Document Format (PDF)
PDF/A-1 using ISO standard 19005-
Form interactive
Defines the usage rights for the PDF document.
The following settings can be chosen using the F4 help:

'X',,Interactive form with addition usage rights. Input in the form can
,,be saved.
'N',,Interactive form with no further usage rights.
'F',,Interactive form for offline processing (not supported in this program).
PDF tagged
If this checkbox is selected, generation tags are saved in the PDF that can be read using the screen reader.
Dynamic form
If this checkbox is selected, a dynamic form is generated that can be displayed and processed in Adobe Reader.
PDF printable
If this checkbox is selected, the print icon is hidden in Adobe Reader. The generated PDF document cannot be printed.
No edit
This setting can be used to restrict how the PDF document can be modified.
