Purpose

The program for the re-initial data load coordinates data collection and data transmission to SAP Forecasting and Replenishment (SAP F&R). The program takes into account only data for which a transfer to SAP F&R has previously taken place. This means that the program FRE_INIT_LOAD must have been run prior to executing this program (data must be available in the table FRE_DB_ART_SITE).

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

Entries in the input fields for the selection criteria in the first Data Selection Options area located at the top of the selection screen are optional. If you do not make any entries here, the program selects and transfers information for all sites and articles that it identifies as being relevant for SAP F&R. If you do enter selection criteria in these fields (for example, a range of sites), then a re-initial load will be performed only for data that matches the selection criteria.

Use the checkboxes in the two Data Selection Options areas on the selection screen to choose the types of data to be transferred:

  • Send Location Data to F&R: Send all site data for the sites entered as selection criteria.
  • Send Product Data to F&R: Send all article data for the articles entered as selection criteria.
  • Send Location Product Data to F&R: Send all article/site data for the articles and sites entered as selection criteria.
  • Send Transportation Lane Data to F&R: Send all transportation lane data for the articles and sites entered as selection criteria. Before creating the new transportation lanes, the system will delete all existing transportation lanes in SAP F&R and then resend the existing lane data based on the selection criteria entered.
  • Send only Source List Lanes: If this is selected, the system transfers only source list data to SAP F&R.

  • No generic deletion records for lanes: If this is selected, the system will not delete all transportation lanes in SAP F&R before resending all existing lanes.

  • Transportation Lanes for Subranges: Transportation lanes for subranges will only be reinitialized if the location is selected. These lanes will not be reinitialized if specific location products are selected as these lanes can supply different location products.

  • Send Reference Module Data to F&R: Send all reference module data for the specified article/site combinations as well as their assignments.
If you do not select this checkbox, only the assignments for the article/site combinations are transferred.
This option is only available if the add-on EA-Retail is installed on your system.
  • Send Layout Module Data to F&R: Send all layout module data for the articles and sites entered as selection criteria. Before creating the new layout modules, the system deletes the existing layout modules in SAP F&R based on the selection criteria entered.
  • Send Sales Order Data to F&R: Send all F&R-relevant sales order items for the articles and sites entered as selection criteria. Before creating the new sales order items, the system deletes the existing sales order items in SAP F&R based on the selection criteria entered.
  • Send External Vendor/Distribution Center Data to F&R (in the second Data Selection Options area): Send all external vendor and distribution center data for the specified external vendors and distribution centers. This option does not include the transfer of transportation lane data.

In the Transfer Settings area, you can make settings that control how SAP ERP communicates with SAP F&R:

  • The Access F&R Direct parameter determines how the communication from the SAP ERP system to the SAP F&R system is established.
  • The entry in the Destination System field specifies the SAP F&R system to which data is transferred. Interface data is transmitted from SAP ERP to SAP F&R using an RFC connection. The RFC destination specified here must be maintained in Customizing for Integration with Other SAP Components under Forecasting and Replenishment -> Maintain Basic Settings for Data Transfer.

In the Parallel Processing Options area, you can make settings that control the way in which the system processes the data when the program is executed:

  • The Parallel Processing checkbox activates the parallel processing mode for the program.
  • In the Logon/server group field, you can enter a group of servers that can be used for parallel processing.
  • You can use the Max.parallel field to specify the maximum number of background processes that can run at the same time within a server group.
  • You can use the Records per Package field to specify the maximum number of data records to be transferred to SAP F&R in a single package.
