FRE_TS_POINTER_REORG - Deletion of Change Pointers (Stock Inform., Cons.Data, Sales Orders)

Purpose

This program reorganizes the tables

- FRE_ST_POINTER

- FRE_CONS_POINTER

- FRE_SO_POINTER

which contain change pointers of stock information, consumption data and sales order documents.

This report deletes change pointers with timestamps before the end of a latency period calculated in days from the current date.

For change pointers of

- stock information and

- consumption data

the latency period can be defined by the user. The user may not set the latency period to "zero". This guarantees that the functionality is enabled for at least one day. The default value for the latency period is seven days.

For change pointers of

- Sales Order documents

the latency time is defined by the appropriate customizing setting

in 'Maintain Basic Settings for Data Transfer'.
If this functionality is active the Sales Order Retention period in days is displayed as information.

If the test flag is ticked, no change pointers will be deleted, but only the respective number of change pointers will be determined that would be deleted.

The program can be started or scheduled online. In both cases the number of deleted / selected records, and any problems with deletion / selection, are output in the user interface (transaction FRE_UI; interface "TS"). If the program is scheduled for background processing, then the protocol information is also transferred to the job log. Single record documentation does not occur.
