FSH_MAINTAIN_BWTAR_DATA - Material Valuation: Create/Change Valuation Type Level

Purpose
You use this report to create or change valuation type levels. Using split valuation, separate valuation of partial quantities of a material can be carried out. There could be several reasons to do this, such as the difference between in-house production or external procurement as well as distinction by status, quality or batches. For each valuation type of a material, you can create and release a separate price. The change in price of the valuation type will update the price at every instance where the valuation type is used.

- If you wish to only update the valuation type level in the Segmentation Dependent Valuation data (SGT_MADKA) database table, enter the Material and Plant and choose execute. You can then maintain the price control, valuation type, and price (standard or moving) for the variants of the material.
- If you wish to update both the Material Valuation (MBEW) and Segmentation Dependent Valuation data (SGT_MADKA) database tables, enter the Material and the Plant, select Generate Accounting Views and then choose execute. You can then maintain the price control, valuation type, and price (standard or moving) for the variants of the material.
- You can select Compact View to display an entry for every unique combination of a stock segment (that is common for multiple variants) for a generic article. You can then maintain the valuation type and price control for the segment combinations of those variants with the common stock segments.
- You can also maintain the price control, valuation type, and price (standard or moving) for multiple variants of a material using Fast Entry. You filter variants based on certain search criteria and then mass maintain the price control, valuation type, and price (standard or moving) for all or selected variants that match the search criteria.
- You can also display the converted values of the characteristic value conversion for the variants of the material.
Note
If a batch has been created for a segment, then valuation type cannot be maintained for the segment, only the price can be maintained.
You cannot change the price control when Price Control Mandatory is selected for the material type in the transaction OMS2.
