Integration
Prerequisites
Features
There are two different comparisons available in the DIMa tool:
- Header Comparison
- A header comparison checks if an object instance exists in both databases.
- Detail Comparison
- A detailed comparison of all data within an object instance found in both databases.
Selection
- DIMa Object Name
- You can select either Customer or Vendor from the DIMa Object Name dropdown list to create a DIMa instance.
- DIMa Instance Name
- You need to enter a unique DIMa instance name for the instance that is created for the comparison.
- RFC Destination
- You need to specify the RFC destination of the SAP ERP back-end system. The back-end system needs to be entered in the Application Console in the CRM system. You can use the transaction SMOEAC to verify this.
- Filters
- You can use the following filters as selection criteria.
- Search Term 1
- You can enter the search term for the customer or vendor.
- Customer/Vendor
- You select Customer or Vendor from the DIMa Object Name dropdown list. Then, you can select the customer or vendor numbers that you want to include in the comparison.
- Account Group
- You can also select the customer or vendor account group number that you want to include in the comparison.
- Start Comparison Immediately Checkbox
- If you select this checkbox, then the compare run starts automatically. Otherwise, you have to start the comparision manually from the menu bar of the CRM Data Integrity Manager: DIMa → Start Detail Compare.
- Display Existing Compare InstancesPushbutton
- If you only want to display existing compare instances without creating a new DIMa instance, you can use the Display Existing Compare Instances button.

- If you only want to display the compare result of an existing compare instances without creating a new DIMa instance, you can use the Display Compare Resultbutton.
Standard Variants
Output
After you run the report, a DIMa instance is created. After the instance is created, the CRM DIMa Integrity Manager starts. The subsequent display depends on whether you selected the Start Comparison Immediatelycheckbox:
- Start Comparison Immediatelycheckbox is selected
- If the checkbox is selected, then you can find the new instance in the Statuslist in the CRM DIMa Integrity Manager. To view the status of the current comparison, double click the entry for the new instance. And then click the Refresh button to see the latest status of the compare.
- Start Comparison Immediatelycheckbox is not selected
- If the checkbox is not selected, you can only display the new instance in the navigation tree. To find a new instance, you need to open the folders in the navigation tree to find the node that contains the new instance. You need to start the comparison manually. To do so, double click on the new instance's node and choose Start Detail Compare from the menu. The system compares the header data and the detailed data to perform header compare and detail compare. You need to click the Refresh button to display the results of the header compare. The comparison is complete when you refresh the results and the results do not change. After the header compare is completed, then you can choose DIMa -> Start Detail Compare to perform the detail compare. Again, you need to choose the Refresh pushbutton to view the latest compare status.
