Purpose

You use this report to transfer revenues for CFM transactions to SAP CYT Management for the tax calculation.

Integration

The function runs directly after posting the money market flows (transaction TBB1/ Report RFTBBB00). The system identifies the tax-relevant flows in CFM using the Customizing settings for CYT (Customizing tables: Define Tax-Relevant Flow Types for Other SAP Modules (/IBS/CCY_BWART_P) and Assignment of Module ID - Company Code - Flow Type - Revenue ID (/IBS/CCY_ZMBBE)) and calculates the tax for these flows. The system posts the tax to the customer of the transaction. The revenue and tax data is updated in the CYT module.

Prerequisites

If you want to use this function, you must have installed SAP CYT Management.

To ensure that the function runs without errors, you must also make the following specific Customizing settings in addition to the general CYT settings:

  • Assignment of Module ID - Company Code - Flow Type - Revenue ID (/IBS/CCY_ZMBBE)
  • Assignment of Module ID - Tax Type - Debit/Credit Sign - Tax Flow Type (/IBS/CCY_ZSVB)
  • External Product - Assign CYT Product (/IBS/CCY_EXT)

Features

Selection

Details of Financial Transaction

First you enter the details of the financial transaction on the selection screen. Using the entries you make here, the system restricts the quantity of transactions to be processed. To restrict the selection of transactions, choose the company code you want processed and also the product type and transaction type. In the 'Transaction' field, you can enter the required transaction numbers and using the payment date, you choose the required time frame. It is also possible to enter a portfolio, the transaction currency, and the flow classification. The company code and payment date are required fields. If you do not enter a transaction number, the system processes all transactions from the company code chosen with the corresponding payment dates. Because of the expected long program run time, you should run this variant in the background.

Selection Parameter Meaning/Effect
Company code: Key that uniquely identifies a company code.
Transaction: Key that uniquely identifies a financial transaction within a company
code.
Product Type: The product type enables you to subdivide the product category.
It allows you to name the products on a company-specific basis.
Transaction Type: The financial transaction type defines which transactions you
can carry out with a certain product type, such as creation and
recording of fixed-term deposits or deposits at notice orbuying and
selling bonds.
Portfolio: A portfolio is an organizational element to group together
varioustreasury transactions for reporting purposes.
Currency: Currency of the financial transaction
Flow Classification: Classification of flows and conditions.
Payment Date: Date on which the selected flows are to be paid.

Posting Information

In the second section of the selection screen you can specify posting details. If you enter a posting date, for example, it overwrites the due date of the individual transactions. You can also specify a document date that the system then sets instead of the day's date. If you leave both of these fields empty, the system uses the existing data. In this area you also choose the type of tax calculation.

Selection parameter Meaning/Effect
Posting date: If you specify a posting date, it overwrites the due date of the
selected flows.
Document date: The value entered here is used as the document date for the tax
posting document. If you do not enter a value, the system uses the
day's date (system date) as document date.
CYT processing indicator: The system uses this indicator to process the selected amounts. For this report, the default value is 5.

Accrual for Interest Income Tax

If you enter a certain flow type here, only this flow type is processed. If you leave the field empty, all CYT-relevant flows determined for the selection criteria specified are processed.

Selection parameter Meaning/Effect
Flow Type: Flow type of the interest flows to be selected.

Program Control

Selection parameter Meaning/Effect
Test Run: If this indicator is set, the complete run is simulated; if you leave the
field blank, an update run takes place. The standard default setting
is a simulation. If you start a simulation, complete processing and
calculation take place but no data is saved on the database.

Standard Variants

Once you have made all your settings on the selection screen and execute the function, the system selects the relevant transactions. If the selection is successful (at least 1 data record found), the system reads the Customizing for CYT in accordance with the settings in the system, formats the data, and transfers it per business partner to the CYT calculator. If an item has already been posted in CYT, this is ignored and not included again. If an error occurs, the record in question is logged and output at the end of processing. Note that if an error occurs for a partner, all the contracts of this partner are excluded from the calculation of withholding tax to avoid inconsistent data. The CYT calculator returns corresponding records for all those records transferred to it. For each record it receives, the CYT calculator creates

  • 1 revenue record (table /IBS/TCY_ET_KL or /IBS/TCY_ET) and
  • N tax records (table /IBS/TCY_SU_PART or /IBS/TCY_SU)

The number of tax records is governed by the tax types defined in the Customizing rules. Generally, this is one record each for the interest income tax, one for the reunification tax, and one for the church tax where applicable. If an error occurs in the calculator, the system logs the record and outputs it at the end of processing. If all records of a business partner are returned correctly from the CYT calculator, they are posted one by one in FI. If this posting is also correct, the posting is made in the CYT tables. If processing is successful, the system processes the next business partner.

Output

Once all business partners have been processed, the system displays the records processed in an ALV list. Incorrect data records are highlighted in red. You must correct these and then process them again.

Activities

This function runs directly after the transaction settlement and CFM posting.
