H99UCDP0 - Automatic Completion and Deletion of Processes
ABAP Short Reference PERFORM Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Title
Purpose
Processes are deleted in two steps:
- The process is completed. This prevents the process from being changed. However, it is still possible to navigate to the spool list, for example, or the job log (assuming they have not been deleted).
- A completed process can then be deleted.
The Process Workbench enables you to do this manually for individual processes. If a large number of processes need deleting, you can use this report to do so.
Integration
Prerequisites
Features
This report performs both steps.
Selection
Processes that are completed and require deletion can be selected separately. As a rule, you should only complete successful processes. Prior to deleting other processes, you should check that the tasks associated with incorrect steps have been performed in some other way.
Start dates, for example, are suitable for the selection. Dynamic selection variables can be used.
When the variant is created, the date field is coded with type 'S'. The 'Selection variables' pushbutton then enables you to activate dynamic date calculation.
There are a number of options; for example (start of month-xx months, end of month+yy months).
If you enter 2 for xx and -2 for yy when selecting the start date in the 'Close processes' group box, all processes of the last month but one are completed. If 1 is specified for xx and -1 for yy for the start date in the 'Delete completed processes' group box, processes can still be checked for a period of one month.
