HCNCTXM0 - Income Tax Report for Individuals by Month

Purpose

You use this report to generate a file that lists employees' tax amounts for one or more income categories by month and a file that lists employees' basic information, such as ID and contact information. The tax amounts include the results of the regular payroll runs as well as any off-cycle payroll runs.

Integration

Prerequisites

To generate the tax report with customized formats using custom download, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • You have defined report formats in Customizing for Payrollunder Payroll: China -> Flexible Reporter-> Define Report Formats.

Features

Selection

In addition to the standard selection criteria, you can use the following criteria to select data for the tax report:

  • If you want to run the report for multiple periods that are different from the standard period settings, enter the period in the Data Selection Period field.
  • If retroactive payroll runs happen during the period that you specified, you can determine which payroll results the report uses for calculation. You can do so by selecting one of the following options:
  • In-view Payroll Periods: The report uses the original payroll results.

  • For-view Payroll Periods: The report uses the latest retroactive payroll results.

  • You can include tax amounts for one or more income categories such as salary, year-end bonus, and stock options.
  • You can include additional wage types for existing customized income categories. To define customized income categories and their corresponding wage types, see Customizing for Payroll: Chinaunder Individual Income Tax -> Monthly IIT Report:
  • -> Define Customized Income Categories

  • -> Specify Wage Types for Customized Income Categories

  • You can include tax amounts for one or more employee tax types such as residents, foreign citizens, and Chinese citizens working abroad.
  • You can run the report for one or more tax areas.
  • If you select the For. Cit. or Foreign Citizens in High Pos. checkbox or both, the Income Details for Foreigner checkbox shows up on the selection screen. It indicates whether to export the income details for foreign employees in China to the results of the report.

You can determine how the report outputs the data using the following selection criteria:

  • SAP List Viewer
You can use this function to display tax data in standard format.
  • Display Totals

If you select this option, the system calculates subtotals by payroll period for certain amounts such as incomes by type, tax base amounts and tax amounts.
Note: You can use this option if you display the data in SAP List Viewer or if you download data.
  • Display Details

If you do not select this option, the system displays the payroll results for a given period cumulatively in one row in the SAP List Viewer. If you select this option, the system displays each set of payroll results in a separate row.
Note: You can use this option if you display the data in SAP List Viewer or if you download data. If you output the data in PDF format, the system displays the payroll results for a period cumulatively in one row.
  • Standard Download
You can use this function to download tax reports with standardformat.
  • Sort Criteria

The system uses these criteria to arrange the data in the output. For example, you can arrange the data by company code or tax area.
If you choose the Sep. Files option, the system also uses these criteria to generate separate download files.
  • Separate Files by Sort Criteria

If you select this option, the system generates a separate file for each of the criteria that you specify in the Sort Criteria field. For example, you can generate separate files by company code, tax area and income type.
  • Custom Download
You can use this function to download tax reports with customizedformats. If the custom download is successful, you can take a preview of the tax data in the system.
  • Path and File Name

You can specify the file path and file name prefix for downloading reports of customized formats. The report program adds default suffix to the file name prefix you specify and saves the files in the path you specify.
  • Split Criteria

If you do not specify split criteria, the system generates one file for each report format used.
If you specify split criteria, the system uses these criteria to generate one file for each of the split criteria for each report format.
  • Excel or TXT files

You can choose to output the data in multiple Excel files, one Excel file with multiple worksheets, or multiple TXT files.

Standard Variants

Output

The report outputs tax data as follows:

  • Displays data in standard format in SAP List Viewer or PDF format according to the settings that you make on the selection screen
You can print or export the output list or the PDF form that appears on the screen.
  • Standard monthly tax data for period xx

Displays standard monthly tax data for tax declaration.
  • Individual Income Tax Basic Info

Displays employees' basic information, such as ID number and contact information, for tax declaration.
Individual Income Tax Basic Info (Entry Date) displays, among all the employees selected on the selection screen, the employees whose entry date is in the selected period
Individual Income Tax Basic Info (1st Payroll) displays, among all the employees selected on the selection screen, the employees whose payroll is run for the first time in the selected period.
  • Downloads the data in standardformat to your local PC
If you specify a path and a file name in the File Name field in the Standard Download group box, the system also downloads the tax data to your local PC in addition to displaying the data. The report saves the tax data in a file in accordance with the sort criteria, the path, and the file name that you specify on the selection screen as follows:
  • One file for all tax data

  • Separate files in accordance with the sort criteria that you specify on the selection screen. For example, you can create separate files by company code, tax area, and income type. If you generate separate files, the system adds these split criteria to the file name that you specify on the selection screen.

The system arranges the data in tabular format according to the sort sequence that you specify on the selection screen. For example, you can first sort tax data by tax area and then sort by income category.
The output table is saved as text in ASCII format. The data is arranged in columns that are separated by tab characters.
  • Downloads the data in customizedformats to your local PC
The system creates the files in accordance with the file name prefix and file path that you specify on the selection screen. The system saves the tax data in separate files or worksheets as follows:
  • A separate file or worksheet for each report format, if you do not specify split criteria

  • A separate file or worksheet for each of the split criteria for each report format, If you have specified split criteria

  • Displays the data in customized format in SAP List Viewer after successful custom download
After the successful custom download, you can take a preview of the downloaded tax data by expanding the node of customized tax data and double-clicking a file name.
You can also check the Custom Download Error List for system messages or for personnel numbers for whom the tax data is not generated.

Activities

To access this report, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human Resources -> Payroll -> Asia/Pacific -> China -> Subsequent Activities -> Per payroll period -> Reporting -> Income Tax Report for Individuals by Month.
