Purpose

This payroll results conversion report enables Universal Social Charge (USC) processing in the system for bank bonus.

The report creates new USC bank bonus base wage types (/146, /AU3, /ZU3) to store the USC results. Then it appends the payroll results with these USC base wage types for cumulating bank bonus as per your selection here.

You have the following options for the conversion method:

  • Convert from date: The conversion program will determine the earliest payroll period that overlaps the indicated date by at least one day. If this period contains no dependencies on earlier periods, this period will be the start period. Otherwise, the program will determine the earliest retroactive period needed, and this will be the start period. The program will then convert all results from the start period to the last period of the payroll results.
  • Convert single period: The selected period is used in the program as the in period of the results. The program will perform the USC base calculation on the sets of results starting from the earliest for period to the latest for period, and will store the results back on the payroll cluster for USC functionality.

Notes

  • This is not USC calculation report but a conversion report to enable retro run for USC functionality. USC Payable (/419) wage type will not be generated using this report.
  • Only the USC bank bonus base wage types table will be created; the program will not modify the results in payroll tables other than USC bonus base wage types.

Integration

Prerequisites

The prerequisites to successfully run this program for an employee are as follows:

  • The USC bank bonus base wage types must be created with proper validity, i.e. the wage types should have validity from period from 01/01/2011 if your retro run period is set period at 01/01/2011.
  • The cumulation '46' must be set appropriately for all the wage types that are USC relevant for bank employees with relevant validity period. This includes both standard and custom wagetypes.
  • In the case of the "Convert Single Period" method:
  • Results should be converted sequentially by period.

  • Before the payroll results for a period can be converted, all errors that may have occurred in the preceding periods must be corrected.

Features

Selection

  1. The selection parameters for the conversion program are a subset of those used for the standard payroll driver.
  2. Personnel Number: A personnel number or range of numbers
  3. Payroll Area: Indicates the payroll area for which the conversion should be done.
  4. Start Date ("Convert From Date" method) : The date for which conversion should begin. Note that the start date does not imply that the earliest period to overlap this date will be the earliest period to be converted. The program will determine if dependencies on earlier periods exist, and convert results starting with the earliest retro-active period needed.
  5. Selection Period ("Convert Single Period" method): The payroll period to be converted.
  6. Test Mode: An indicator for whether or not an update should be done to the payroll cluster. If the checkbox is checked, no update will be done.
  7. Display variant: A variant for the ALV list display of the results.

Standard Variants

Output

The initial output of the report provides the status of the results, the total number of employees processed, the number of employees that were processed successfully, and the number of employees that had errors. From the status screen, the user is able to navigate either to the ALV list displaying the converted records, or to the error log.

The ALV list will display only the USC bonus entries of bank employees that have been successfully calculated. The results are grouped by employee and are displayed in the order in which they have been converted. Each set of USC entries is grouped by a sequence number. This sequence number corresponds to the payroll record for which the set of USCs have been calculated.
