Purpose

Use this report to delete the value of the Ded.-Interest u/s field of the Income From Other Sources (0584) infotype, Subtype 0001 (House Property), records of all or selected employees.

This enables the payroll to compute tax benefit under section 24 for housing loan interest.

Integration

Prerequisites

The employees for whom you are running this report must have an record in the Income From Other Sources (0584) infotype, Subtype 0001 (House Property).

Features

This report can be executed for a range of employees based on

  • Payroll Area
  • Range of Personnel numbers

When you run the report, the system creates a session. You must execute this session from transaction SM35 for the updation of Income From Other Sources (0585)infotype, Subtype 0001 (House Property).

Activities

  1. To acces this report on the SAP Easy Accessscreen, choose Human Resources-> Payroll -> Asia/Pacific -> India -> Utilities -> Section 80 Batch program for Section 80.
The Batch Program for Section 80 - Indiascreen appears.
  1. Enter the relevant selection criteria
  • Select the Section 24 Deduction checkbox. to delete the value of the Ded.-Interest u/s field of the Income Income From Other Sources (0585)infotype, Subtype 0001 (House Property).

  • In the User Parameter section,

- Enter the Session name.
- System defaults your user name in the User field. You can enter any other user name also.
- If you want to keep a record of the session even after executing it from transaction SM35, select the Keep session checkbox.
- You have the option of entering the Lock date. You can run the session from transaction SM35 for the updation of the infotype records only after this date.
  1. Choose Program -> Execute.
  2. Go to transaction SM35.
  • Select the session you want run.

  • You have the option of running the session in the foreground or in the background. Accordingly, select Session -> Process session, or Session -> Process in background.
