Purpose

This report checks the benefit eligibility status of employees whose participant status is Participant or Participation Ineligible Person. The report can include the result in a batch input file, with which you can update the employees' records collectively in the infotype with the new benefits status.

This report is only applicable to the following corporate pension plan types:

  • Contract-type defined benefit plan
  • Fund-type defined benefit plan
  • Employees' pension fund plan (additional part)

Integration

The standard system only checks old-age benefit eligibility status. You can create implementations in BAdI: Modify Settings for Benefit Eligibility Requisite Checkto check benefit types other than old-age benefit.

Note:

If on the same date, all the benefit types are eligible, the system only updates the infotype record for old-age benefit.

Prerequisites

  • You have created records in the Benefit Point System Management JP infotype (0889).
  • You have assigned the old-age benefit to the appropriate corporate pension plan.
  • You have completed the settings in the Define Benefit Eligibility Requisites IMG activity; otherwise, you must have created implementation in BAdI: Modify Settings for Benefit Eligibility Requisite Check to enable this check function.

Features

  • You can execute this report in background mode or dialog mode.
  • In dialog mode, you can update the infotype records by choosing the Creating Batch Input File option; in background mode, you select the Create Batch Input Update File indicator on the selection screen.
  • If there are records for a period that is later than the checking period, you can decide whether or not to overwrite these records with the eligibility check result.
  • You can create implementations in BAdI: Modify Settings for Benefit Eligibility Requisite Check to modify the pre-defined age check criteria to meet your special requirements, including:
  • Lower or upper age limit to be pension eligible

  • Required number of participation periods

Selection

Each time you run the report, only specify one corporate pension plan for checking.

Standard Variants

Output

This report supplies the following views to display the eligibility check result:

  • Check Result Overview
  • Pension Eligible Employees List

On the Pension Eligible Employees List screen, signal icons with different colors indicate whether a record will be updated by the batch input file and whether the record has been included in the batch input file.

You can switch between the views above by choosing the Details option or the Back option.

Activities

To access this report from the SAP Easy Access screen, choose the following path:

Human Resources → Personnel Management → Administration → Info System → Reports → Administration Japan ¡→ Retirement Benefit System → Corporate Pension Plan → Tools → Benefit Eligibility Check and Update
