HJPUCP_PRCAL - Premium Calculation and Update

Purpose

This report calculates the monthly contribution amount of the following retirement benefit plans:

• Corporate-type defined contribution pension plans

• Defined benefit pension plans

• Employees' pension fund plans

• Pre-paid retirement allowance plans

Integration

You use the calculated result to update records of the following infotypes:

• Pre-paid & DC Plan Management JP infotype (0888)

• DB & EPF Plan Data Management JP infotype (0889)

Prerequisites

You have entered the correct participant status for employees in the infotypes mentioned in the Integration section.

You have made the calculation related settings in Customizing of Contribution Calculation. To access these settings in SAP IMG structure, choose Personnel Management → Retirement Benefit System (JP) → Corporate Pension Plan → Contribution Calculation.

Features

The following table shows different calculation results of this report for different plans.

• You can create batch input file to collectively update relevant infotype records.

• In a single run of the report, you can only calculate contribution for one SI modifier. Multiple retirement benefit plans that are assigned to this modifier can be calculated together.

• For corporate-type DC plans, if the contribution amount exceeds the upper limit, the report allocates the excess contribution to other plans as follows:

If the target plan is the defined benefit corporate pension plan, the distributed amount is added to the employer's standard premium;

If the target plan is the pre-paid retirement allowance plan, the distributed amount is added to the monthly retirement allowance.

Selection

You specify the Social Insurance (SI) modifier and target period for calculation.

If you do not specify the retirement benefit plans on the selection screen, the report processes all the plans that are assigned to the specified SI modifier; similarly, if a retirement benefit plan has more than one sub-plan, the report calculates contribution for all the sub-plans.

Standard Variants

Output

The following result screens are available for displaying the calculation result:

• Overview screen

After you execute this report, you can see the overview screen, on which the number of the processed employees for the specified SI modifier is displayed.

• Details screen

On this screen, the calculation results are categorized by different plans.

Signals of different colors are used to indicate status of the following process for each record:

• Contribution amount calculation

• Batch input files creation

• Batch input file inclusion

If you do not select Create Batch Input File on the selection screen, you can select successfully processed records and include them in batch input file by choosing the Create BI File option.

This screen displays the detailed calculation result of an employee, including contribution amount of each premium type. If sub-plans exist, this information is displayed on sub-plan base.

• Calculation log

This log is displayed only when you carry out the foreground execution. On this screen, the system displays the following calculation details of sub-process for each combination of employee, plan and calculation group:

• Calculation formula

• Calculation factor parameters

• Premium type and amount

• Premium factor parameter

• Message log

If the report encounters problems during steps of execution, the system records as error or warning messages that are displayed here. With reference to these messages, you can analyze the calculation result.

Activities

To access this report on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Human Resources → Personnel Management → Administration → Info System → Reports → Administration Japan → Retirement Benefit System → Corporate Pension Plan → Tools → Premium Calculation and Update
