Purpose

By law, the employees are entitled to receive a paid flight to their home countries. This amount varies depending on the nationality of the employee and the number of dependents of the employee. You use the report to simulate the calculation of the leave passage to be paid out to an employee and the applicable dependents. The actual calculation is performed during the payroll runs and time evaluation.

Note
If you run the report on a large number of employees and project far into the future, you may expect a lengthened response time.

Prerequisites

  • You have defined the feature QAAPD to determine the applicable grouping for employees in Customizing for Payroll Qatar.
  • You have entered all the applicable airport destinations and applicable rates in Customizing for Payroll Qatarunder Personnel Management -> Leave Passage Calculation -> Define Home Airport Destinations and Fares.
  • You have entered all applicable dependents in the Family Member/Dependents (0021) infotype. If certain dependents that are not be eligible according to normal rules has to be included in the calculation, you must select the Leave Passage checkbox.
  • You have maintained the leave passage information for expatriate employees in the Leave Passage Qatar(3308) infotype.

Feature

The report determines the number of applicable dependents of an employee and determines the applicable rate per passenger based on the following information:

  1. Reads the Family Member/Dependents (0021) infotype to determine the number of applicable dependants using the following rules:
  • Count the number of child dependents (subtype 2) whose age under 21 years old (check age in months at key date)

  • Count the number of spouse (subtype QA01 or QA02) with the sequential number 0001

  • Count the number of other dependents with the Leave Passage checkbox selected

  1. Reads the Determine Value for Group in Home Airport Table(QAAPD) feature to determine the group with which table T7QA09 is read to determine the rate to be paid per employee and dependents.
  2. Reads the table T7QA09 to determine with the following value:
  • Client

  • Home Airport

  • Group

  • EE or Dependent

  • End Date

Example

An employee is returning home abroad on leave. Leave passage needs to be calculated based on the following information:

  • Home airport = Mumbai (IT0002)
  • Value for group in home airport table (QA) (Feature QAAPD) = A
  • Ticket class = economy
  • Ticket rate for employee = 1000 QAR
  • Dependents:
  • 1 Wife

  • 2 Children under 21 years of age

  • Ticket rate for dependent passengers according to T7QA09 = 700 QAR

The calculation formula is as follows:

1* 1000 QAR + 3* 700 QAR = 3100 QAR

Selection

  • In the Selection Criteria group box, you can restrict the area for which you want the report to calculate the leave passage amount.
  • You specify the time schema used for time evaluation in your company.
Note:
You must have copied the schema QAPP to this time schema in Customizing for Payroll Qatar, under Leave Passage Calculatio -> Customize Time Evaluation for Leave Passage Provisioning.
  • You specify the period for evaluation, which can be in the past or in the future.

Output

The report displays the leave passage amount for each employee with the information of the infotype and the wage type that you specified on the selection screen. The report outputs the results in SAP List Viewer (ALV).
