Purpose
This report proposes the level or grade to which the employee is eligible to be promoted using the Within Step Grade Increase scenario.
The report determines the same by considering the WG_ACTION_PROMOTIONattribute and WG_SAL_WAGETYPE attribute that you maintain in the Maintain Attributes for WIGSI customizing activity .
Note
This report always considers the employee's promotion based on 2 levels above the current level.
In case the employee is currently in the highest level for a specified grade, the report analyses the promotions in a different manner. Here, the system compares the salary in the highest and the second highest levels and the multiples the difference by 2, to determine the promotion level.
For example, if the employee is in level 12 (highest level), the system compares the difference between the salary in level 12 and 11 and then, multiplies the difference by 2 to determine the employee's salary in the corresponding level of the relevant grade to which he or she will be promoted.
The report then decides the level or grade in which the employee's salary will be higher than the value determined in the method explained above and decides the relevant level in the promoted grade to which the employee must be assigned.
