Purpose

As per the General Assembly approved recommendations from ICSC effective January 1, 2017, one unified scale, regardless of family circumstances of the staff members in the professional and higher categories in applicable in field service. You use this report to trigger the relevant changes in the system with this regard.

This report:

  1. Reads the current pay scale details of the selected staff member from the infotype records
  2. Reads the dependency status of the staff member as on December 31, 2016 (the date prior to the implementation date)
  3. Based on the data collected, it reads the conversion matrix to determine the new pay scale infomation. Note that you must have maintained the recommended conversion matrix in the Customizing Enter the Conversion Matrix.
  4. Delimts the old records as on the implementation date, and creates new ones based on the new pay scale information.
  5. The report also calculates the Special Allowance Post pay that a staff member may be eligible for, in times when he or she has to take up position of another staff member belonging to higher level. The report processes such information, only in case there already exists a valid record as on the implementation date. If the staff member takes up the position after the implementation date, this report does not process the record.

Activities

  1. On the SAP Easy Accessscreen, navigate to Payroll NPO -> Subsequent activities -> Reports -> Utility -> Conversion Report for Unified Salary Scale. The report selection screen appears.
On the selection screen:
  1. Enter the period for which you want to run the report
  2. Enter the employee selection criteria
  3. Enter the relevant additional selection criteria
  4. In the Record Creationsection:
    1. Select the infotype record(s) that you want to change
    2. Enter the corresponding subtypes
    3. Select a reason for changing the infotype records
    4. The Effective Date of Conversion appears by default in the filed. The system reads it from Customizing maintained in Enter Implementation Date for Entitlement ID.
    5. Select an Action type and the reason for the action
    6. Select Test run if you want to view a simulation of the report
  5. To make the final changes to the records, deselect the Test Run option and execute the report.
The report output screen appears.
On this screen, the system displays a summary of the records that are changed, along with details of the pay scale level change for each selected staff member. You also have the option to view a detailed error log, to review the errors if any.
