Purpose

You use this report to verify if the SSF Library file and the PSE file are suitable for generating the digital signature.

After you have generated and configured a PSE file, you should use this report to test if the file is suitable for the digital signature before this file is registered in the digital signature customizing table (IDMX_DI_PSEPROF).

You can also use this report to investigate the reasons why a PSE file is no longer able to generate digital signatures.

Selection

All parameters in the selection screen are mandatory. In the PSE File Parametergroup box, you must enter the name of the file as well as the password that is assigned to this PSE file.

In the Digital Signature Formatgroup box, you enter the legally required parameters for the digital signature.

You must also enter the string that you want to test the signature for.

Standard Variants

Output

The system displays the test results in form of texts in the output screen once the report runs:

• Texts marked in green mean that the library and the PSE file are suitable for generating the digital signature.

• Texts marked in yellow are warnings that means that technically the system could generate the digital signature using the referenced files. However, these files should not be used productively because they would generate errors in the digital signature process. You must check the reasons that cause the warnings.

• Texts marked in red mean that either the library, or the PSE file, or both are not suitable for generating the digital signature.

In case error messages are displayed in the status bar, follow the instructions displayed in the message long texts to correct the errors.
