Title

End of a Job Chain During Installation

Purpose

The report INST_BACKGROUND_ENDshould be scheduled at the end of a chain of installation jobs. It checks whether the previous jobs were successfully completed.

Every installation step has a unique sequence number.

All jobs that were scheduled by an installation report run under the same sequence number as the scheduling report.

The last job of the job chain executes the report INST_BACKGROUND_END.

The report reads the jobs entered under its sequence number in the table INSTCNTLJ. If no more entries exist, the report sets the status of the current installation step in INSTCNTL to Completed successfully. Otherwise, the status Terminated is set.
