ISU_UMC_MAINTAIN_VARIANT - Maintain Correspondence Variant Combinations Set

Purpose

The report ISU_UMC_MAINTAIN_VARIANT can generate and maintain all variant combinations based on the following:

• Current Customizing and BAdI implementation for communication preference categories

• BAdI implementation for the allowed send methods for each communication preference category

• Correspondence types for each communication preference category and Customizing for address determination

There are three tab pages when the report is started:

• Display Existing Variant: Displays the existing variants set with the given prefix for the variant ID. By default, the current variant, which is defined by the BAdI implementation, is populated.

• Generate New Variant Set: Generates a new variants set with the given variant ID prefix based on the current Customizing. The variant ID prefix must never be used in the Customzing. If the Test Mode checkbox is checked, the new variant set is generated for display only and not saved.

• Delete Existing Variant Set: Delete the unused variants set from the Customizing. If any of the variants in the variants set has been assigned to a contract account, the variants set cannot be deleted, and the report will list those variants in red. Under the Test Mode, the report only checks whether the existing variant set can be deleted.
