Purpose

This report / function will do the NRIV adjustments necessary for NZDT execution. It locks the NRIV object being changed and uses function modules NUMBER_RANGE_UPDATE_INIT, NUMBER_RANGE_INTERVAL_UPDATE, and NUMBER_RANGE_UPDATE_CLOSE to do the actual NRIV adjustments. These function modules are also used by transaction SNRO. Once the change has been done, the lock is released again.

If not in revert mode, the upper limit TONUMBER of the original interval will be lowered and a new NZDT interval will be added. Both changes are done or none, i.e. if one of them fails, the other one will fail, too.

The content of table IUUC_NRIV_ADJUST defines the changes to be done.

Integration

Prerequisites

Function modules NUMBER_RANGE_UPDATE_INIT, NUMBER_RANGE_INTERVAL_UPDATE, and NUMBER_RANGE_UPDATE_CLOSE must have the parameters called_from_aim and client_aim. Otherwise, the number ranges cannot be inserted in the relevant clients. If these parameters are available depends on the basis release and support package of the system.

Features

Selection

The following options are available:

Test only (no NRIV change)

Test run only. All steps are executed except the actual final update of NRIV (NUMBER_RANGE_UPDATE_CLOSE). A full log is written, including before and after image.

Continue on error

If this flag is set, an error encountered during the adjustment of an NRIV entry will be logged as a warning and the next NRIV entry will be processed. If the flag is unchecked, processing will stop on error.

Revert NRIV change

Revert NZDT NRIV change, i.e. delete the NZDT interval and update the upper limit TONUMBER of the original non-NZDT interval. The deletion of an NZDT interval is only possible if no numbers have been drawn from it, i.e. if NRLEVEL is initial.

Both changes are done or none, i.e. if one of them fails, the other one will fail, too.
