Purpose

This report is used to create and activate DB triggers in the sender system (the old productive system of an IUUC scenario).

Two main types of DB triggers need to be distinguished:

  • For one category of tables, it is necessary to transfer all changes (new or changed records, deletions of records) to the future productive system. In this case, the triggers are used to copy the new or changed records of the original tables to logging tables that are later transferred to the future productive system.
  • For other tables, no changes are allowed any more in the phase of the monitored production. In this case, DB triggers are created that cause a shortdump whenever it is tried to do any change to these tables.

This report is run in the central system. The actual processing in the sender system is performed by means of a function module that is invoked by means of a synchronous rfc call.
