IUUC_REPL_PS_CONTROLLER - Execute Preparatory Steps

Purpose

In this activity, you can execute the preparatory steps for an initial load or replication. These steps are normally executed by the replication controller job automatically, but you can use this activity to execute the steps if any issues have occurred. If you execute this activity, the system only executes the steps that have not completed successfully.

The preparatory steps consist of the following:

• Create Logging Tables

• Create Database Triggers

• Create Tables and Synonyms

• Define Load / Replication Object

• Generate Runtime Modules

• Start Range Calculation

• Unblock Initial Load when all Preparation Steps are Executed

Features

The system executes the preparatory steps for the tables listed on the Table Overview tab page.

The system only executes the preparatory steps that have not completed successfully.

Selection

If you use transaction LTRC to run this report, then the system automatically uses the relevant mass transfer ID (this value cannot be changed). If you run this report outside of transaction LTRC (for example by using transaction SE38), then you must specify a mass transfer ID.

Output

You can view any error or warning messages in the log.
