Prerequisites
The source table structure is same as the proxy table structure.
Purpose
When replicating data to a target system, a table is created for each source system table in the SAP Landscape Transformation Server system. These tables are required to connect to the target system, and are known as proxy tables. The proxy table has the same structure as the target system table.
If the structure of the source system table is modified, the proxy table and the target table must be adjusted accordingly. If the structure of the proxy table is updated successfully, but the structure of the target table is not updated, then there will be inconsistencies between the proxy table and the target table. You can use this expert function to resolve such inconsistencies between the proxy table and the target table.
Inconsistency Identified | Action Taken by SAP LT Replication Server |
---|---|
Fields exist in the proxy table, but not in the target table. | SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server adds the missing fields to the target table. |
Fields exist in the target table but not in the proxy table. | SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server removes the fields from the target table. |
Fields exist in both the proxy table and the target table but the fields have different attributes in the different systems. For example, a field may have a different length or data type in the target table than in the proxy table. | SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server adjusts the fields in the target system so that they are consistent with the structure in proxy table. |
Selection
In order to resolve the inconsistencies between the structure of proxy table and the structure of the target table, you must specify the following information:
Table Selection
You must specify the following information:
·,,Mass Transfer ID
If you use transaction LTRC to run this report, then the system automatically uses the relevant mass transfer ID (this value cannot be changed). If you run this report outside of transaction LTRC (for example by using transaction SE38), then you must specify a mass transfer ID.
·,,Source System Table Name
Note that you can resolve inconsistencies for several tables at a time..
Viewing Application Logs
You can view the logs for the expert function the SAP LT Replication Server Cockpit (transaction LTRC) under Application Logs. The logs for this expert function have the prefix Expert Function 'Resolve Inconsistencies':
