Purpose

You use this report to import legacy purchasing documents data in the INMA component.

With this report, you can upload a file containing legacy purchasing data and associated material prices for the last period.

After you import the data, it becomes available in the Replacement Cost Determination (Chile) report (J1ARCtransaction).

Features

The report receives as input a file with information about materials from the legacy system. After the validation, this data is stored in the Import Legacy Data(J_1AIMMLEGACY) database table.

File Format

The input file must conform to a specific format, depending on the type of the file you choose. For details, see the help associated to the Input Filefield.

Validation

In order to determine the consistency of all relevant information in the input file, the report executes a sequence of validations. This includes checking links between the following items:

Company code and valuation area (this is determined in the Customizing activity Assign plant to company code).

  • Valuation area and material
  • Material and valuation type

Selection

In the report screen, you use the following fields to control the report run:

  • Input File
Identifies the name and path of the file to be loaded.
  • Simulation
Determines if the import process saves data in the database. If this checkbox is selected, the program checks if the file is ready for importing and reports any errors in processing but does not write any data to the database.
  • Delete
Deletes the data in the database table when uploading a new file.

Standard Variants

Output

The output of the report depends on the options you select in the selection screen, as follows:

If only the Simulationcheckbox is selected, the system validates the file you are uploading, and no data is inserted in the database table.

If the Simulationand the Deletecheckboxes are selected, the system validates the file you are uploading and shows how many records are to be deleted.

If only the Deletecheckbox is selected, the system deletes the data from the J_1AIMMLEGACYdatabase table before importing new records. In this case, the report will only be executed and the database table data deleted if you enter a valid file.
