Purpose

This report helps you in uploading the asset block details from a spreadsheet application to standard SAP S/4HANA system. It also reads the asset details from a spreadsheet and updates the Asset Block Master Data (IDIN_ASSETBLK) with these details.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • To ensure proper data transfer, data needs to be in a specified form. You should create the spreadsheet with the following sections:
  • Specify descriptions of the field that you want to transfer for your asset block, for example, the company code, block key and so on.

  • Specify individual blocks and their attributes.

Activities

  • To access this report, on the SAP Easy Accessscreen, choose Accounting-> Financial Accounting-> Fixed Assets-> Information System-> Reports on Asset Accounting-> Specific Valuations-> Country Specifics-> India-> Uploading Asset Block Data.
    The system displays the Upload Asset Block Detailsscreen.
  • Enter the name of the file along with the path from where you want to upload the asset block details.
  • Choose Program-> Execute.
    You get the following output in an application log:
  • Success message of successful update of asset block in the database.

  • Error or warning message of unsuccessful update of asset block in the database.

Even if there is one error record in the spreadsheet, system will not upload the data. You need to correct the record and upload the spreadsheet again.

Example

The .CSV file should be in the following format:

  • Company Code
  • Block Key
  • Description
  • Dep %
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Additional_Block (Domain value X or Blank)
  • Put To Use (Domain value X or Blank)
