Purpose
This report helps you in uploading the opening Written Down Value (WDV) of the asset block at the beginning of a fiscal year (April – March) from a spreadsheet application to standard SAP S/4HANA system.
This report also reads the opening WDV of an asset block from a spreadsheet and updates the table FI-AA India: Opening WDV for the blocks - Transactionsin the IDIN_FIAA_OWDVtable with the entered details.
Integration
Prerequisites
To ensure proper data transfer, the data must be in a specified form. You should create the spreadsheet with the following sections:
- Specify description of the fields that you want to transfer for your asset block, for example, the company code, block key and so on.
- Specify individual blocks and their attributes
- Save the file in a local folder, in a comma delimited format as .CSV file.
The header section of the spreadsheet is only for information purpose and will not be uploaded in the database.

- To access this report, on the SAP Easy Accessscreen, choose Accounting-> Financial Accounting-> Fixed Assets-> Information System-> Reports on Asset Accounting-> Specific Valuations-> Country Specifics-> India-> Migration Reports-> Uploading Opening WDV
- Enter the name of the file along with the path from where you want to upload the asset block details.
- Choose Program Execute.
System displays the following output in an application log:
- Success message of successful update of asset block in the database.
- Error or warning messages of unsuccessful update of asset block in the database.
Example
The .CSV files should be in the following format:
- Company Code
- Year
- Block Key
- Opening WDV Amount
- Currency Key
- Opening WDV date
