KEPSL_HDB_SYNC - Sync Data to HDB
General Data in Customer Master Vendor Master (General Section)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
This program can be used to sync data from primary DB to a side-by-side HANA DB.
Prerequisites
This program requires the combined profitability analysis (cPA) together with an activated side-by-side scenario.
Integration
In case of a failure using the DB connection for the side-by-side HANA DB, the read access is defaulted to the primary DB. If this is the case, all subsequent read accesses to cPA data are done using the primary DB and posted document numbers are stored in the error table TPSL_A_UPD_ERR.
If the missing documents are replicated to the HANA DB using this program, the read access is switched back to the HANA DB.
Features
The program replicates posted documents to a side-by-side HANA DB. The connection is taken from the configuration of the operating concern.
Additionally, the default read access can be controlled by switching the read access from secondary HANA DB on and off.
Selection
The program supports two ways of selection:
- Selection via error table
Documents are selected from the error table.
After a successful replication, the document numbers are deleted from the error table. If the error table is empty, the default read access is switched back to HANA DB.
- Selection via posted records
Depending on the plan data indicator, the selection of documents is done from table CE9xxxx_H or CE9xxxx_P_H.
For both options, the plan data indicator can be set in order to distinguish actual and plan data.
Options:
DB updates are only done, if the option 'Update Mode' is checked.
The package size determines the default package size for read and write operations.
The program writes messages to the application log and can be scheduled using the Schedule Manager. The results can be evaluated with the schedule manager monitor, also if the schedule manager is not used.
