MPPTAB06 - Display

Description

When maintaining or displaying an ATAB table, you frequently want to look for an entry by looking up the relevant text.

For example: Table T527X describes the assigning of language keys, organizational units, validity periods, indicators for organizational units. You have the indicator for a particular organizational unit but you do not know the key, the indicator for the organizational unit in question can be entered in the field *T527X-ORGTX. (A generic entry is possible). You receive a list of organizational units (indicators), which fit the string entered. You can select the entry required by using the F key - you will be taken back to the table screen and the chosen entry will appear in the first line. Another example, is table T531 (text table T531S), which is used when the text is not stored in the table itself but stored in a text table.

How do you go about finding the functionality described?

- Screen of table screens.

Include field - the screen field name is the table field name or the text table field name starting with a "*" (for example, *T527X-ORGTX).

- Processing logic of table screens.

Before the loop, MODULE INIT has to run for PBO, and MODULE_FIRST_ENTRY in the loop itself. When making an entry in the field for PAI, MODULE LIST and MODULE WRITE_LIST have to run. At a particular point in time ON HELP-REQUEST - which refers to the

text entry fields - and is a HELP module, is included. (Field
documentation).

- Module pool for table screens.

The important data definitions can be copied from MPPTAB06. In 'Tables declaration', has to be replaced by the relevant table names, if it is necessary to declare the text tables. is the name of the entry field for the string being searched for, resp. are offset and length of text fields in ( or the text table). All the modules named except for MODULE WRITE_LIST are in MPPTAB06. As a result of the last named module that can be copied from MPPTAB06 you receive a list printout. The table fields to be issued have to be listed in the Write Instruction.

- User interface. The user interface for table T527X can be used as a

model.

- Text elements.

If the string entered does not fit any entry in the table, then those entered in text '001' are output.
