OAA_VEND_STOCK_DELETION - Deletion of Outdated Entries in Vendor Stock Information Tables

Purpose
If article/vendor combinations are no longer valid for the assortment of an online store, availability information for these articles persists in the uploaded vendor stock information. You use this report to remove these entries from the uploaded vendor stock information.
Entries that persist although they are no longer valid do not interfere with the OAA business processes. However, removing those entries has the following advantages:
- It prevents the database tables from filling unnecessarily fast.
- It supports deletion of personal data for vendors that are natural persons.
Integration
Prerequisites
Make sure that before executing the report, you have done the following:
- If the vendor is no longer valid: You have adjusted the eligible vendors in SAP Customer Activity Repository.
- If articles of that vendor are no longer valid: You have adjusted BAdI BADI_OAA_VENDOR_ASSORTMENT.
If you fail to do so, deleting entries may lead to a situation where no stock information is available for article/vendor combinations that have become invalid but have not been updated as such in the system yet. However, with vendors as sources, the default is that no stock information is interpreted as infinite stock, which, in this case, is the opposite of what is intended.
Features
You have the following options:
- Delete entries older than the specified date
- All entries older than the specified date are deleted from the uploaded vendor stock information. The date you specify may lie far back in the past.
- Delete entries for specific vendors
- All existing entries for the specified vendors are deleted from the uploaded vendor stock information.
With both options, entries to be deleted cover the following:
- Header entries (article/vendor combinations)
- Related item entries (schedule lines for an article/vendor combination)
