SAP E-Book

Purpose

This reports collects information from web service monitoring and the Application Log about the last attempt to process the inbound web service EmployeeMasterDataReplicationRequest_In for the replication of employee master data from Employee Central to SAP HCM.

Integration

Prerequisites

To be able to retrieve application log entries and web service payloads the user needs the authorizations contained in the PFCG role SAP_HR_PA_EC_EE_RANA..

Features

Selection

The user needs to either enter an Employee Central employee ID (External Employee ID) or the corresponding SAP ERP personnel number (PERNR) . A personnel number exists only if the employee's data has been replicated once before.

The user can also enter a date on the selection screen. Entering the date of the last replication attempt will improve the report's performance. Without a date, the program will extend the search into the Application Log. In any case, the report will find out when the last replication attempt took place.

Standard Variants

Output

After passing the selection screen a browser window opens with a WebDynpro UI.

The collected information can be downloaded to the file system.

The UI provides an enhanced format of the inbound message that contains information about the mapping logic used in the transformation of the inbound message to the infotype structures that are transferred to the HCM infotype framework. This gives insights to the data models used by the customer in Employee Central and SAP HCM and the relations between both.

If a replication fails for some employee the tool can show data differences in the inbound message comparing failed replication to the last successful replication.

The tool also offers a simulation mode. This mode is recommended for experienced users only.

The tool also lists active BAdI implementations that alter the standard replication processing logic.
