Purpose

Create, display, change, and delete (in terms of period management) assignments of business objects to segments.

Integration

The processing of assignments between business objects and segments is part of portfolio assignment and reassignment. This is also the case for the processing of segments, and the processing of assignments of assignment objects to segments (see there).

Prerequisites

No prerequisites must be fulfilled.

Features

You use the PFO_GZO transaction to create assignments between segments and business objects, select and display existing assignments, change these assignments, and delete them (in terms of period management). Appropriate functions for these actions are available in three modes: Display, Changeand New

You cannot edit fields in the display mode. When creating and changing assignments, technical fields (usually set by the system) are not ready for input. Before making a change, you must select the assignment to be changed.

You can use the appropriate standard functions of the ALV grid control to structure and maintain your own layout for the display and processing.

If errors occurred during processing, you can read these in the log. You can also see the results of the processing there.

If a certain attribute value is to be changed in multiple assignments, you can use the mass change function. You first select the corresponding assignments, and then the column to be changed. You can then enter the new value in the dialog box, which is displayed when you use the Mass Changes pushbutton. Finally, save the result.

Selection

You can choose the selection options for selecting assignments individually. By default, the attributes from the structure for the PFO_GZO DDIC table are provided as the selection options. From these you can choose the conditions that are necessary for the selection.

If other attributes are to be used for the selection, then you must define a corresponding DDIC structure in Customizing. You can then use the same method to select the selection attributes. You can use a BAdI method to execute the selection.

Standard Variants

No standard variants are provided.

Output

The result of the selection is displayed in an ALV grid control. If you are working in change mode, you can overwrite the editable fields, and can save the result in the database. You can also save newly created segments in the database.

Activities

Call the PFO_GZO transaction to use the aforementioned functions.
