Purpose

Conversion to SAP S/4HANA is accompanied by the use of the long material number used in the SAP Discrete Industries and Mill Products (DIMP) solution instead of the standard SAP ERP material number. This means that the internal material number, which is stored in the material number fields (data element MATNR), can directly be replaced by the external material number, which used to be stored in the mapping table MATERIALID. Therefore the access of the mapping table is not necessary anymore.

This XPRA enables the use of the DIMP long material number in Audit Management and FMEA. Depending on the settings in the Customizing table PLMC_AUDIT_OBJ, the field OBJECT_VALUE in the table PLMM_AUDIT_OBJ may contain a material number that must be converted. The XPRA handles the conversion of all entries of the Customizing table PLMC_AUDIT_OBJ with value MATNR in the field DATA_ELEMENT.

Integration

Prerequisites

• The DIMP long material number is active in the system being converted.

• You have run the XPRA MFLE_XPRA_DETERMINE_DIMP_LAMA, which fills the column MATNR_LONG of the table MATERIALID.

• If you have entries for the material number in the Customizing table PLMC_AUDIT_OBJ that do not use MATNR as value in field DATA_ELEMENT, you need to replace the value by MATNR before running the XPRA.

Features

If the XPRA is canceled for any reason a restart is possible. The XPRA will then convert all leftovers from the previous run.
