Purpose

You use this report to update the PLM tables with entries for object type PLM_BOMMATwith the new concatenated material BOM key without # separator.

Until now, the following fields are concatenated using # as a separator to form the material BOM key:

  • Material Number
  • Plant
  • BOM Usage
  • Alternative BOM

To maintain consistency, all the relevant tables with PLM_BOMMATobject are adjusted to the new material BOM key format.

  • Old format: Material BOM keys concatenated with #
  • New format: Material BOM keys concatenated without #

Integration

Prerequisites

You have implemented at least one of the features involving the list of tables below at BOM level.

Features

You can use the report to perform the following:

  • Update the existing entries in following PLM tables for object type PLM_BOMMATwith the new concatenated material BOM key without # separator:
  • /PLMB/PR_OBJ_REL

  • /PLMB/AUTH_OBSID

  • /PLMB/OSET_O

  • /PLMI/TD_AGT_LST

  • /PLMI/RDLN_DATA

  • /PLMB/GOS_PADAT

  • /PLMI/RDLN_TXT

For example:

Assume you have following details:

  • Material Number - XYZ
  • Plant - 0001
  • BOM Usage - 2
  • Alternative BOM - 01

Before executing the report, the material BOM key concatenated with # separator: XYZ#0001#2#01.

After executing the report, the material BOM key concatenated without # separator: XYZ 0001201 (retains the original length of all fields).

Note

This report is intended to change the material BOM key value for material BOMs only.

When you execute the report, the system displays log details of the adjustments made in the following tables:

  • /PLMB/PR_OBJ_REL

  • /PLMB/AUTH_OBSID

  • /PLMB/OSET_O

  • /PLMI/TD_AGT_LST

  • /PLMI/RDLN_DATA

  • /PLMB/GOS_PADAT

  • /PLMI/RDLN_TXT

You can execute the report as a background job. You can execute this report several times.
