Purpose

This report converts the masked format of the WBS element field value and the Project definition field value to an unmasked format in the corresponding ACDOCA records.

Background Information:

If you have implemented SAP note 2966330 (ACDOCA Get WBS-Element & Project data and populate it into ACDOCA or if you work with the SAP S/4HANA 2020 FPS04 release, the values of the WBS element and the corresponding project (PS_POSID and PS_PSPID) have been stored in an incorrect masked format in the ACDOCA table.

To fix this error and initiate the system to store the PS_POSID and the PS_PSPID field values in the correct unmasked format in future, you can implement SAP note 3058076 (Incorrect Format for WBS Element and Project in ACDOCA / ACDOCP Tables). After having implemented this SAP note, the field values will be stored correctly in the ACDOCA table when you post costs in a maintenance order.

To correct all the PS_POSID and PS_PSPID field values which have already been written to the ACDOCA table in the incorrect masked format in the past, please use this report. The report enables you to subsequently correct the value format of the two fields in the ACDOCA table.

Integration

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the authorization object 'FINS_MIG' assigned in your profile to execute the report.

Features

Selection

You can use the following fields to specify the selection of ACDOCA records:

  • Ledger
  • Company Code
  • Fiscal Year
  • Document Number
  • Order

Use the Test Run checkbox to run the conversion of the masked format to the unmasked format in test mode.

Standard Variants

Output

In an output table you can view the WBS element field value and the Project definition field value, in the original masked format, and how it will be stored after the conversion in the unmasked format.

After the format conversion in productive mode, the logs indicate the number of ACDOCA records that have been affected.

Activities

To convert the masked format of field values to the unmasked format proceed as follows:

  1. Select the business objects that you want to include in the report. For example, select a ledger and specify a range of maintenance orders.
  2. Specify whether you want to run the report in test mode or in productive mode.
Before you run the report in productive mode, note that you cannot revert field values back to the masked format once you have converted them to the unmasked format.
  1. Execute the report.
The report checks the format of the two fields PS_POSID and PS_PSPID. If the values of these two fields have already been stored in the correct format, the report does not perform any changes. If the values of these two fields are stored in the incorrect masked format, the report changes the format of these two fields in ACDOCA to an unmasked format.
The system displays the number of ACDOCA records that have been affected.
  1. Select Back (F3).
  2. Check the masked and unmasked values of the WBS element field and the Project definition field in the output table. The originally masked field values of the WBS element field and the Project definition field are displayed in red, the converted unmasked field values are displayed in green.
  3. If you run the report in productive mode, you can now convert the field values in the ACDOCA table by choosing Update ACDOCA. Note that you cannot revert this conversion afterwards.
The logs that are displayed after the ACDOCA update indicate the number of ACDOCA records that have been affected by the format conversion.
You can also check the log with the number of affected ACDOCA records in transaction SLG1. To view the log, enter the object PM_ACDOCA and the subobject ACDOCA_WBS_REPAIR.

Note that you can also run this report as a background job.
