Purpose

You use this report to compare the results of the supply and demand matching (SDM) procedures based on SAP HANA with the SDM procedures based on ABAP.

Selection

In the section of the screen entitled Selection, you can define the material and plant combinations for which you want to compare the results of a supply and demand matching procedure. Here you can enter one or more materials, plants, MRP controllers, MRP areas, and an evaluation horizon in workdays. If you specify an evaluation horizon (for example, 30 workdays), the system only selects the supplies and demands within this horizon for performing SDM algorithms - all the supplies and demands outside the horizon are ignored. If you do not specify an evaluation horizon, the system selects all supplies and demands.

You can select one of the following options when starting the report:

  • All Demands
In this case, the system compares the list of demands (covered and uncovered) that are returned from the HANA procedure SDM_DEMANDS with the demands from the ABAP-based calculation.
  • Supplies for All Demands
In this case, the system compares the list of supplies covering the demands (covered and uncovered) that are returned from the HANA procedure SDM_DEMANDS with the demands from the ABAP-based calculation.
  • Uncovered Demands
    In this case, the system compares the list of the uncovered demands that are returned from the HANA procedure SDM_UNCOVERED_DEMANDS with the uncovered demands returned from the ABAP-based calculation.
  • Supplies for Uncovered Demands
In this case, the system compares the list of the supplies that (partially) cover the uncovered demands that are returned from the HANA procedure SDM_UNCOVERED_DEMANDS with the uncovered demands returned from the ABAP-based calculation.
  • Late Supplies
    In this case, the system compares the list of the late supplies that are returned from the HANA procedure SDM_LATE_SUPPLIES with the late supplies from the ABAP-calculation.
  • Forecast Consumption
    In this case.....

Standard Variants

Output

The results list shows the differences in the results of the two compared procedures. If a complete entry delivered by one procedure is missing in the other procedure, the system displays a Missing Lineexception.

If an entry is present in both procedures, but different results were obtained from a field in each procedure, the corresponding exception contains this field name and its values from both procedures.

If several fields have differences for a particular entry, the system displays several exception lines in the output - one for each field with a difference.
