Purpose

If you have already created policies in the back end, and you want to enable the payroll process manager to use these policies on the front end for simplified configuration, you need to run the Policy Conversion (PYC_CONVERT_POLICY_TO_BO) report. However, not all policies that were created in the back end can be converted to policies created on the front end under simplified configuration.

You use this report to check whether an existing policy that have been created in the back end can be converted into the policy of the specified policy type.

Integration

After you run the consistency check for the backend policies, you can do the following for consistent policies:

  1. Add these policies in the include list in the Customizing activity Create Policy Include List for Policy Configuration App.
  2. Run the Policy Conversion (PYC_CONVERT_POLICY_TO_BO) report to convert policies.

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

  • Policy ID
Specify the ID of the policy or policies that you want to convert into the policy or policies created on the front end.
A policy is a data source class of the category PY_COCKPIT in Customizing activity Classify Data Sources.
  • Policy Type
Specify the policy type into which you want to convert the policies.
Note that the policy and the policy type must match for the conversion to be successful. The system compares the following attributes of a policy and the specified policy type:
  • Country Grouping (MOLGA)

  • Instance Selection Parameter

  • Time Selection Parameter

Standard Variants

Output

The output screen displays the following information:

  • Validation of parameters for policy type and policy
  • Policy Type ID or Policy ID

  • MOLGA

  • Instance selection parameter

  • Time selection parameter,,

  • Whether policy fits the policy type

  • Validation rules of policy
  • Policy ID

  • All check types included in the policy

  • MOLGA

  • Whether the input parameters of the check type are consistent with the input parameters of the policy type

  • Whether the check type in the policy fits the policy type

When both the policy and the check type in the policy fit the policy type, the policy can be converted into that of the specified policy type.
