Purpose

In the standard system, we deliver a complete set of step templates that you need for a standard payroll process. By default, the texts displayed on the front-end user interface of the Payroll Control Center are defined in the code.

You use this report to customize the texts displayed on the front-end user interface of each process step of the Payroll Control Center. The texts you define in this report will overwrite the texts delivered in the code.

Integration

  • You maintain OTR texts using transaction SOTR_EDIT and messagesusing transaction SE91.

Prerequisites

  • You have completed Customizing activities under Payroll: International -> Payroll Control Center.
  • You must have the authorization (value 04 Start Reports of the authorization object P_PYD_AAUT) in order to run this report. For more information, see the documentation for the authorization object.

Features

Selection

Enter the process step template ID for which you want to customize the texts on the front-end user interface on the Payroll Control Center.

Standard Variants

Output

  • Group Name, Text ID, and Text Description
Display-only. These fields specify the ID and the description of the text on the user interface.
  • Text Source Type, OTR/Free Text/Message Class, and Message No.
  • If you select the text source type OTR, specify the OTR Alias in the OTR/Free Text/Message Class field.

You define OTR texts using transaction SOTR_EDIT.
  • If you select the text source type Message Class, specify the message class in the OTR/Free Text/Message Class field and the message number.

You define messages using transaction SE91.
  • If you select the text source type Free Text, specify in the OTR/Free Text/Message Class field the text you want to display.

  • Is from Parent
Display-only. Specifies whether the text configuration is inherited from the parent process template. If the text of the step template is inherited from the parent process template, the row is marked in yellow.

You can modify the text configuration inherited from the parent step template as needed.

You can use the Reset button to restore the text configuration of the last saved version.

Activities

To access this report, go to Customizing activity Configure Texts for Process Step Templates under Payroll -> Payroll: International -> Payroll Control Center -> Payroll Process Management.
