Description

The IMG projection for message types and distribution groups enables selection fields to be automatically assigned in an IMG project. When distribution groups are assigned, the selection field is assigned to all the entries in the IMG Projekt which represent a Customizing object in the distribution group in question. If the IMG projection relates to one or more message types, the relevant Customizing objects are determined via the foreign key relationships and identified in the IMG project by the selection field assignment.

The purpose of the IMG projection is to identify Customizing objects relevant for distribution in Customizing for the applications.

Note:

The selection fields are reassigned in the projection. Existing assignments could be deleted. For this reason only selection fields that are uniquely defined should be used.

Requirements

The selection fields must be defined beforehand and assigned to the IMG project. This can be carried out in Project Management.
