Purpose

The aim of this report is to include four new attributes when indexing documents by TREX.

The new attributes are as follows:

HR_APPLICATION

HR_OBJECT_ID

HR_OBJECT_TYPE

HR_STATE

This report adds these four new attributes to an existing index category and flags them as index-relevant. The report defines the attributes in TREX. The report then determines all documents that are attachments in order to specify their attribute values and to transfer them to TREX for indexing.

TREX requires these attributes to increase the performance when searching documents.

Integration

Prerequisites

Use the transactions SM59 and SRMO to check the RFC connection. The connection test cannot fail.

Make sure that an index category exists for the document area HR_KW / document class HR_DOC.

Before running the report, stop the periodic service RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES. The TREX queue cannot contain any documents (see transaction TREXADMIN). No documents should be flagged either (see transaction SKPR07).

Activities

Run the report.

Once the report has been executed, check the entries in the application log (transaction SLG1). If any problems occur when running the report (for example, the queue may still contain documents or the RFC connection was not available), run this report again.
