Purpose

Scheduling the Transport Dispatcher RDDIMPDP as a Background Job with Defined User

Features

Executing the report RDDNEWPP2 schedules the transport dispatcher RDDIMPDP as an event-driven background job in the current client.
The transport dispatcher RDDIMPDP must be scheduled as a background job in client 000 and in all the clients from which data is exported or into which data is to be imported.

Scheduling RDDIMPDP by executing RDDNEWPP2 can occur at any time or may be repeated. Any earlier scheduling in the same client is deleted.

Selection

Do not select the user DDIC. More information about this recommendation can be found here: Protecting Special Users. The standard user DDIC is, however, used automatically if the input field for the user is left empty.

The user selected for scheduling should have the following properties:

- The user type 'B' = system

- be in the user group SUPER

- have all authorizations (authorization profile SAP_ALL).

The report RDDNEWPP2 enables the job to run with regular priority (job class C) or with high priority (job class A). If you choose high priority, the transports have priority over other background jobs.
