Title

Delete archived print document header data

Purpose

This report covers the third step in archiving print document header data: Deleting header data on the basis of the archive previously generated. The first step, analyzing the print document header data, is carried out using the REPDAR_ANALYSE_HEAD report. In the second step, the print document header data selected by the analysis report are archived using the REPDAR_ARCH_LINES report.

Using the AOBJ transaction you will find the definition of the ISU_PRDOCH archiving object and the related Customizing.

Using the SARA transaction you will find archiving administration and the related Customizing.

Using the SARI transaction you will find the technical view of an archive.

Using the standard IS-U transaction SISU, you will find the accounting view of an archived print document.

Integration

• REPDAR_ANALYSE_HEAD

First step in archiving print document header data: Analyzing print documents with a view to possibly archiving them.

• REPDAR_ARCH_HEAD

Second step: archiving the print document header data selected in the first step.

• REPDAR_REL_HEAD

Use this report to reload data that has been archived and already deleted. Note that you cannot reload individual documents; you have to reload the entire archiving run. This procedure should not normally be used and should be limited to extreme problem cases (for example, incorrect retention period in Customizing).

• REPDAR_READ_ARCHIVE_HEAD

This report allows you to read a print document header archive and to display parts of the data in a list before the deletion program has been executed. It displays the data in a technical view.

Features

The deletion report reads print document headers previously archived in an archiving run from the archive and deletes the corresponding entries in the database tables.

Starting the program

When you start the report you can make various settings on the initial screen:

• Test run: if you start the report as a test run, no changes are made to the database (updating the archiving indicator in the print document header, deleting data). Instead, the report reads the data to be deleted from the archive and outputs it in the log.

• Log type: General statistical data or detail log (can become confusing with large amounts of data).
