Purpose

Since contracts are subject to frequent changes, allocation amounts of performance obligations (POB) are also changed often over the contract period.

You can use this report to search for and display changes in performance obligations (POB) of a revenue accounting contract, such as changes in allocation amount, allocation effect, standalone selling price (SSP), or transaction price.

This report can be used for auditing purposes if you need to get an overview of changes made to allocation amounts or prices of POBs.

Note: If you need a more detailed view on the changes made to a particular contract/ POB, you can use report Contract and POB Change History (transaction FARR_CONTR_HIS).

Prerequisites

Your user must have a role based on authorization object F_RRCONCIS for you to check data assigned to specific accounting principles and company codes.

Features

Selection

You can make various selections to specify the change records you want to display. For more information on the different selection criteria, call up the field help (F1).

Note: Do not execute the report using selection criteria Company Code and Accounting Principle only, as this leads to slow system performance due to the possibly large amounts of data. In addition, the results list is long and hard to manage.

Regarding the types of changes to be searched for, consider the following:

  • The option Change in Allocated Amount is flagged by default. When executing the report, all contract periods during which the allocation amount was changed are displayed.
  • If you don't select any of the options, all change entries matching the above-mentioned selection criteria are displayed.
  • You can also search for a combination of change types, for example if you select the options Change in Allocated Amountand Change in SSP , the system only displays those change entries for periods during which both allocation amount and SPP were changed.

Standard Variants

Output

The system displays all POBs that match your selection criteria. For each of the four change types to choose from, the previous value and the current value is indicated, for example Previous Transaction Price and Transaction Price.

Example

You select the following search criteria:

  • Company Code: 0001
  • Accounting Principle: IFRS
  • Fiscal Year: 2019
  • Period: 01 - 06
  • Contract: 10000001

You choose Change in Allocated Amount as the change type to search for and execute the report.

In this example, the system finds two POBs for which the allocation amounts have changed. In such a case, the system displays four records: two records showing the allocation amounts of the previous contract period and two records showing the amounts of the current contract period.
