Title

Transferring Residual Budgets from Cover Pools

Purpose

This function makes it easier to transfer Residual Budgets from cover pools. Before you carry forward the budget into the new year, you can collect residual budget from the various cover pools into an FM account assignment.

The program is called for an FM area, fiscal year and budget subtype. As source account assignment, you can enter one or more cover pools. The program converts the existing residual budget from the source account assignment(s) to the target account assignment entered.

If you do not enter a fund for the target account assignment, the transfer occurs on the 'empty' fund.

If you do not enter a budget subtype, the transfer takes place with the 'empty' budget subtype.

Once the program has been executed a log is issued. It lists whether the transfer was successful or not for each fund. For successful transfers, the log also has an entry document number.
