Title

Completing Earmarked Funds (Whole Document)

Purpose

You can use this program to set the closed indicator for all Earmarked Funds at header level. If a document is flagged as closed on header level, you can no longer edit the document; more specifically, you cannot add any new document line items.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

The program flags all documents as closed according to the given selection criteria if all the documents' line items are already set to closed. (You can flag individual document line items as closed by using the Complete Earmarked Funds (Line Items)) program.

You can also use this program to close an entire document that contains line items that are not yet completed by choosing Complete All Line Items.

Selection

You can choose the documents to be closed by using specific document header data, such as document number, document type, document category, or person who created the document.

If you select No Stat. Reduction, the program does not process any documents that refer to an open statistical usage.

You can use the SPA/GPA parameter MR_FMRE_XERLK_NOSTAT to default the field in the user master with 'X'.

Standard Variants

Output

If an error occurs, the system issues an error log that lists all the documents in which errors occurred and the cause of each error. Possible causes of errors include a blocked document or no authorization for changing the document.

Note: If you have analyzed and eliminated the cause of an error, you can run the program again. You should however choose the same selection criterial as for the run that discovered the errors. The reason for this is as follows:

To improve performance, the program works with "packages". Several documents are grouped together in a package so that they can be processed together. If an error occurs in a package, the program is terminated and any additional packages will not be processed. The documents that have not been processed are not recorded in the error log.

If you select No Stat. Reduction, documents that still refer to an open statistical usage in online processing are not made available for maintenance but are listed in the error log.

In background processing, the documents that still refer to an open statistical usage are not processed and are also listed in the error log.
