RFFMHIE_COPY - Copy Multi-Level Budget Structure

Purpose

With this program you can copy a hierarchy or part of it for a source hierarchy ID, budget structure, fiscal year and budget category to a target hierarchy ID, budget structure, fiscal year and budget category within an FM area in the Budget Control System (BCS).

Integration

Prerequisites

• You have generated a structure for the source structure ID, budget structure, fiscal year and budget category using transaction FMHIE_GENERATION or transaction FMHIE_COPY within the specified FM area.

• Within the same FM area, the target budget structure must have the same multi-level FM account assignment elements as the source budget structure.

• Within the same FM area, the target structure of the specified target structure ID, budget structure, fiscal year and budget category must be empty.

• This program uses a derivation strategy to derive the target address when you copy the hierarchy to another fiscal year. The derivation strategy tool does not support reverse derivation, so the target year must be equal to or greater than the source year.

Features

When you run this program, you can copy a structure or part of it for a source structure ID, budget structure, fiscal year, and budget category to a target structure ID, budget structure, fiscal year, and budget category within an FM area.

Selection

• Enter the FM area, the multi-level source and target budget structure.

• Enter the source fiscal year, budget category and if necessary the source structure ID.

• Restriction on the source structure: you can restrict the selection of the source structure by entering the access objects for the structure in a list and the number of steps below the access objects.
  Note
  If two or more selected branches (combination of an accessed object and the number of steps) are on the same node of the structure, the entire node of the structure containing all the selected branches without gaps is selected for copying.

• Enter the target fiscal year, budget category and, if necessary, the target structure ID.

Standard Variants

You two several processing options for running this program.

• Test Run
  If you set this indicator, no records are changed in the database, but all messages are logged, as in the productive run. Otherwise, the records are saved automatically in the database.

• Layout Variant
  If you specify a layout variant for this entry, it will be applied when you display the copied structure.

Output

A log is output after you run this program. If errors occurred during the copying, you can click the Message Log button to see the detailed error report, or else you can click the Display structure button to display the copied structure.

The copied structure is displayed in the SAP List Viewer. You have the following functions:

• Expand the structure below the selected node

• Collapse the structure below the selected node

• Find a node

• Print the structure

• Select a layout
