Title

Importing Multi-Level Budget Structure

Purpose

You can use this program to import the multi-level budget structure stored in a Unix file or PC file to an FM area/budget structure/fiscal year/budget category of the SAP system.

Note that execution takes place in the background on the application server. Therefore you must specify a UNIX path.

Integration

Prerequisites

The target FM area, budget structure, and budget category must already exist in the SAP system.

• For the options Verify File and Verify and Develop File, you have to define your digital signature:

• When you maintain SSF information for application 'PSMBCS' and create the corresponding PSE file with STRUST transaction, the verification and the develop feature occur on the application server.

Features

The import file is processed sequentially.

The SAP fields ROOT, CHILD, and HLEVEL for data records with record type D, 'Relation between hierarchy nodes' are not required and will be re-determined during the import. However, if you specify values for ROOT and CHILD that do not exist, an error occurs.

Selection

• By setting the Verify File option, you unprotect the exporting file from modification by other users.

• By setting the Verify and Develop File option, you unprotect the exporting file from modification by other users and remove the encryption of the importing file.

• By setting the Only display error messages option, you only store the error messages in the log. This option reduces memory usage.

• By setting the Overwrite hierarchical nodesoption, you delete old nodes and create new ones. If application data has already been posted, deletion is forbidden.

Standard Variants

Output

The appropriate processing is stored in the action log, as is the rejection of the file in the event of errors. The log is issued as a list.
