BAL Application Log Documentation BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header dataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Purpose
This report provides you with an overview of all objects involved in the RIB (Revenue Increasing the Budget) process, organized in a hierarchical list. The relevant amounts are displayed for all RIB rules based on both
Note
Posting addresses are only derived and displayed on demand, when you expand the node of a budget address in the hierarchical output list.
Integration
Prerequisites
This report is only relevant for the component
Features
The output list is organized as a collection of RIB rules. Each RIB rule (based on either an RIB object
or revenue cover group) can be expanded into its Contributors and
Receivers. The Contributor node contains the revenue budget addresses,
while the Receiver node contains the expenditure budget addresses and the surplus budget address, provided it has been defined in the corresponding
Depending on the type of node, the following values can be displayed:
RIB objects / revenue cover groups
- Revenue budget: the total current revenue budget entered on the RIB rule, which is taken as a reference for the determination of the lower and upper limits defined in the RIB calculation formula (if these are defined as a percentage of the current reference budget). This amount is the sum of the current revenue budget amounts of all revenue budget addresses that contribute to the RIB object or to the revenue cover group of the RIB rule.
- Posted amount: the total revenue amount posted on the RIB rule. This amount only considers relevant
FM value types> as defined in the RIB rule and is equal to the sum of the revenue amounts available on the revenue posting addresses which contribute to this RIB rule.
- Transferred amount: the total revenue amount already transferred to the RIB rule's receivers through RIB budget documents (budget
process> Revenues Increasing the Budget).
- Transferable amount: the total revenue amount still available for a budget transfer
towards the RIB rule's receivers through future RIB budget documents.
This amount is calculated from the amounts of the columns Revenue budget,
Posted amount, and Transferred amount taking into account the
> RIB calculation formula> used in the definition of the RIB rule.
- Revenue shortfall for transfer: this is the revenue amount which is still missing
for the RIB rule, preventing a transfer towards the receivers. This amount is calculated from the amounts
of the columns Revenue budget and Posted amount, according to the lower limit defined in the
> RIB calculation formula>. If a revenue amount greater than this value is posted on the RIB rule, then a budget transfer through RIB budget documents will become possible.
Note
This value is notdefined if no lower limit was specified in the RIB calculation formula. The shortfall amount remains zero if the revenues posted on the RIB rule already exceed the lower limit from the RIB calculation formula.
Revenue Budget Addresses
- Budget memo template:name of the budget text template assigned to the revenue budget address.
- Revenue budget: current revenue budget defined on the revenue budget addresses contributing to the total revenue budget on the corresponding RIB rule.
- Posted amount: total revenue amount posted on all the posting addresses contributing to this budget address.
Revenue Posting Addresses
- Posted amount: revenue amount posted on this posting address.
Expenditure Budget Addresses
- Budget memo template:name of the budget text template assigned to the expenditure budget address.
- Transferred amount: revenue amount already transferred to this particular receiver through RIB budget documents.
- Transferable amount: revenue amount still available for a budget transfer towards
this particular receiver through future RIB budget documents.
Note
This amount is only defined if the RIB rule uses distribution procedure.
Expenditure Posting Addresses
No amount available for this type of posting address.
Automatic Cover Groups
- Available amount on cover group: the difference between the total budget and consumption on the cover group. This value corresponds to the Available amount on cover groupin the
> Cover Eligibility Monitor>.
In addition, a "Display AVC Data" function is provided to show detailed amounts for selected automatic cover groups in the
Selection
Header
Specify the FM area, the fiscal year, the year of cash effectivity (if applicable), and the RIB ledger to restrict the selection of RIB rules (mandatory). Note that the RIB ledger selection is limited to ledgers 9M (payment budget) and 9N (commitment budget).
Type of Account Assignments
Specify whether the values that you entered in the Selection of Cover Groupsand Selection of Account Assignments sections refer to only RIB rules, automatic cover groups (if call RIB is activated), budget addresses, or posting addresses. If these values are for an account assignment element, then choose the Unrestricted Selection option (default). If no values are entered in the Selection of Cover Groupsand Selection of Account Assignments sections, your choice will have no effect, since all options are equivalent to Unrestricted Selection.
Selection of Cover Groups
You can restrict your selection by specifying a range of values or single values for a cover group name. The cover group specified here could be the revenue cover group on which the RIB rule is based on and the automatic cover group that the RIB rule is assigned to. Note that only when cover eligibility is activated will this selection section be displayed. Also, only when call RIB is activated will the automatic cover group be considered for cover group restriction.
Selection of Account Assignments
You can restrict your selection by specifying a range of values or single values for each account assignment element. Note that only the account assignment elements which are active in the selected FM area will be displayed.
Layout Options
You can choose how the output list is displayed by default. Select Complete View if you want to expand all nodes (RIB objects / revenue cover groups, contributors and receivers) into their subcomponents. Select Contributor Side View if you only want to expand the Contributor node of each RIB rule, or select Receiver Side View if you only want to expand the Receivernode of each RIB rule, or select Autom. Cover Group Side View if you only want to expand the Assigned Automatic Cover Groups node of each RIB rule.
You can also specify a layout variant that you previously defined using the layout button in the output screen. This feature allows you to display or hide columns as desired.
Filtering Options
This section enables you to filter out RIB rules according to certain criteria. Please read the field help (F1) for more information.
Standard Variants
Output
The output screen contains the following sections:
Report header
The following information is displayed: FM area, fiscal year, year of cash effectivity (if applicable), RIB ledger, layout option (type of view), filtering option.
Report list
The selected RIB objects/revenue cover groups are displayed in a hierarchical structure, together with their contributors (revenue budget addresses), receivers (expenditure budget addresses), and assigned automatic cover groups (if call RIB is activated). Posting addresses are also displayed for each budget address when you expand the corresponding node in the hierarchy.
The values described above (see Features) are displayed in columns for each account assignment, unless a different layout variant was selected.
Activities
Details of a node: You can access the details of any node in the tree by selecting the node and clicking the Display Details button in the toolbar. Note that the Details window is updated dynamically when you repeat the operation for another node, without closing the window.
Full expand: you can select any node in the tree and click Expand to expand the node fully: all subnodes will be displayed, including possible posting addresses. Note that the Expandfunction in the taskbar of the SAP List Viewer tree will not display posting addresses unless you have already manually expanded the corresponding budget addresses.
Budget memos: Selecting a budget address and clicking the Display Budget Memo button allows you to generate the budget memo linked to the selected address, provided this address has a budget memo template assigned to it. The result is displayed in a dialog box.
RIB rule: Selecting any RIB object/revenue cover group in the tree or any of its contributors
(revenue budget address or revenue posting address) and clicking the RIB Rule
button in the toolbar displays the corresponding RIB rule. From there, the calculation formula can also be displayed, as defined in the Customizing activity
AVC data: Select any automatic cover group in the tree and click the AVC Data button in the toolbar to display the corresponding AVC data for the selected automatic cover group in the
Drilldown functionality: Double-clicking an RIB object/revenue cover group, a budget address, or a posting address displays a list of related documents (budget entries or actual documents). You can then select a document in the list and display it. Click Back (F3) to return to the initial report. This function is also accessible by double-clicking the value itself. Not all kinds of values are supported. The values ready for drilldown are:
