RFKKABS8 - Recreate Totals Records

Purpose

You can recreate totals records before the general ledger transfer.

Since, during a correction of totals records (Check Totals Records), the incorrect totals records are offset as standard and the correct totals records reconfigured, a recreation of the totals records is necessary or useful in the following circumstances:

• Where there are errors in the totals records that lead to an error in the general ledger transfer

In this case, the totals records cannot be transferred to the general ledger, even after a correction with Check Totals Records.

• Where there are several errors in the totals records for a reconciliation key, in order to keep the number of totals records to a minimum

Integration

Prerequisites

The reconciliation key must be closed if you want to recreate the totals records. Only totals records that have not yet been transferred to the general ledger can be recreated.

However, note that you first have to determine the cause for the differences that arose. This is required so that you can decide if the adjustment of the totals records is correct, or if you have to correct the documents. Corrections are therefore only possible after discussing them first with SAP. You can only make corrections using an access key. To obtain an access key, create a customer message. For more information, see SAP Note 1721033.
