Purpose

The system saves excepted items in a separate table for each billable item class.

This report deletes excepted items with the status Raw - Excepted or Billable - Excepted from the corresponding tables. You can select items using the exception reasons.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • You can delete excepted items if they meet the following criteria:
  • The excepted items have reached the residence time that you entered on the selection screen. This requirement is met if the number of days elapsed since the items were excepted is greater than the residence time.

  • In addition to excepted items, entries in the duplicate table are cleaned up, if their residence time has been reached.

Note

These prerequisites do not apply for simulated data.

Features

If you start the report in test mode, no changes are made to the database. Changes are made to the database only if you start the report in update mode.

Activities

To delete tables of excepted items:

  1. Specify if you want to delete excepted items with the status Raw - Excepted or with the status Billable - Excepted.
  2. Specify the billable item class. Optionally, you can enter the exception reasons for excepted items.
    Note
    You can enter exception reasons directly or choose them from the input help.
  3. Enter the residence time that the excepted items need to have reached before they can be deleted.
The system can determine the residence time using your Customizing settings; or you can enter a comparison date manually. The exception date acts as the comparison date.
Note
If you manually enter a comparison date that conflicts with the date calculated in Customizing (for instance, the manual date is later), then the program automatically corrects your entry so that the residence time entered in Customizing remains in effect.
Example
You want to delete data on July 16. You enter July 15 as a different to-date. However, the minimum residence time entered in Customizing is 10 days. Therefore, the system automatically changes your entry of July 15 to July 5.
  1. Run the report.
