RFKKDEFREV_DB_INDEX_LAST_RUN - Check and create index: last run event-based deferred revenues

Purpose

This report creates a database index for optimizing the runtime of the transfer posting run of the event-based deferred revenues (transaction FPDR_BY_EVENT) if the indicator Last run before period-end closing is set there.

Prerequisites

If you set the indicator event-based account determination for revenue recognition (field TFK157-ACCDET_BY_EVENT) for one of the cost/revenue types of the event-based deferred revenues in Customizing, more deferred revenues might be transferred than there are revenues for the assignment key. This is the case if more events are reported than there are revenues for the assignment key.

If you set the Last run before period-end closing indicator in transaction FPDR_BY_EVENT, the system recognizes such cases and generates further postings that correct these cases.

If such cases exist, the database index that creates this report can improve the performance.

If you do not set the indicator event-based account determination for revenue recognition in Customizing because you do not need the function, you do not have to create the database index. If you use the function, we recommend that you create the database index if performance problems occur.

Features

The report checks for the table DFKKDEFREV_HEAD whether an index exists with the fields MANDT, VKONT, STATUS.

In an update run (the indicator Only Check Index is not set), the report creates an index for the fields named if one does not exist already.

For the new index, the system requests a package in the customer namespace in an input dialog. Local objects are not permitted here. In a further dialog box, you have to specify or create the correction request where all new and changed objects are to be included.
